ENJOY started at our family’s table.

Chef Leonel Gonzalez grew up in Guadalupe, Guanajuato, one of nine in a family that lived off its own farmland and cattle. He earned an academic scholarship to university, then came to the United States. Here he worked in the fields, then in restaurant kitchens, then in catering, before starting his own company, Food Joy Catering. Over the years he became a private chef for prominent Los Angeles clients, cooking for everything from corporate gatherings to intimate family dinners.

His son Leo never planned to join the business. A summer working events in college changed that. He went on to cater for Hollywood nightlife clients, then moved into sales and managing events across Los Angeles. Today he leads our catering sales.

Together we founded ENJOY on the recipes of our culture and the dishes we love. It began with events and private chef dinners run out of the family home. Now it’s Enjoy Café & Catering, inside Corporate Pointe in West Hills: a weekday café with a coffee bar, juice and salad bar, a grill, and a themed hot bar Tuesday through Thursday, run by a team of about a dozen. From that kitchen we cater corporate breakfasts and lunches, school events, private parties and private chef dinners across Los Angeles.
